BrainyBloomClub is written primarily for parents, guardians, educators and schools. Children’s safety, privacy, dignity and healthy development take priority over engagement, traffic or commercial opportunity.
Adult involvement
Activities and tools should identify appropriate adult support. Adults remain responsible for judging whether a project, platform or product is suitable for a particular child and environment.
Physical safety
Projects should identify relevant risks involving heat, electricity, tools, chemicals, small parts, food ingredients, allergies, outdoor environments or other hazards. Safety guidance cannot anticipate every circumstance and does not replace qualified supervision.
Privacy and digital safety
Children should not be encouraged to share full names, addresses, school details, precise locations, account credentials, private images or other sensitive information. Recommendations should consider data collection, communication features, advertising, account controls and age requirements.
Responsible artificial intelligence
AI should support curiosity, explanation and creation rather than replace thinking, relationships, professional care or a child’s own work. Children should learn that AI can produce inaccurate or inappropriate outputs and that important information requires verification.

Age-appropriate design
Services likely to be accessed by children may have heightened privacy responsibilities. The UK Information Commissioner’s Office describes a set of standards centred on the child’s best interests in its Children’s code guidance.
